The Blessing of St. Clare

Blessing of St. Clare, Virgin

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (cf. Mt 28:19). Amen.
May the Lord bless you and keep you.
May He show His face to you and be merciful to you.
May He turn His countenance to you and give you peace (cf. Num 6:24-26), my sisters and daughters,
and all who will come and remain in this community of ours, and all others in the whole Order who will persevere to the end in this holy poverty.
I, Clare, a servant of Christ, a little plant of our holy Father Francis, your sister and mother and the sister and mother of the other poor sisters, although unworthy,
ask our Lord Jesus Christ, through His mercy and through the intercession of His most holy Mother Mary, of St. Michael the Archangel and of all the Saints,
that the heavenly Father Himself may give you and confirm this most holy blessing in heaven and on earth (cf. Gen 27:28):
on earth, by multiplying you in grace and in His virtues among His servants and handmaids in His Church militant;
in heaven, by exalting and glorifying you among His saints in His Church triumphant.
I bless you during my life and after my death, as much as I can and more than I can, with all the blessings
with which the Father of mercies (cf. 2 Cor 1:3) has blessed and will bless His spiritual sons and daughters in heaven (Eph 1:3) and on earth,
and with which every spiritual father and every spiritual mother has blessed and will bless their spiritual sons and daughters. Amen.
Always love God and your souls and all your sisters,
and carefully keep what you have promised the Lord.
May the Lord always be with you (cf. 2 Cor 13:11; Jn 12:26), and may you always be with Him (1 Thess 4:17).
